Believe it or not, but we are officially on summer vacation! Wow, where has the year gone? Soon we’ll be sending our kids back to school and counting the days until football season and cooler weather. In the meantime, why not take advantage of these next couple of weeks and plan a quick weekend getaway? There are plenty of fun places to visit in Texas that are affordable and easy to arrange. Corpus Christie, TX – Honestly, who doesn’t love the beach? If you’re craving some sun, sand, and waves then head on down to this destination by the Gulf. Lexington and take the kids to the Texas State Aquarium!

You can check out a concert at one of their many local venues or take a dip in Barton Springs. Don’t forget to stop by the world famous Franklin’s BBQ for lunch!
