Do you know when tires need to be replaced?

We all know tires are expensive and of course, when one of them blows up you need to replace it, but do you know when it would be good to change all of them?

There are some things to take into consideration.

Check proper tire inflation pressure – in order to maintain top-performing conditions, it is essential that tires are not overinflated or underinflated. In both instances, it could lead to a tire blowout. Also when under-inflation is constant, it is best to take your car in for an inspection as it could have a leak.

You need to look for wear – when you’ve had your tires for a while make sure you are keeping an eye out for tread wear. Also inspect for foreign objects such as nails, rocks, cracks, and grooves which could lead you to have to replace your tire.

Don’t put too much weight on your car – This doesn’t only affect your tires, in general, it affects your gas consumption, and your car or motorcycle maintenance.

Once you actually decide you need new tires you need to break them in. They need to be driven cautiously for the first 100 miles, especially on your motorcycle as you may need to get a feel of the new tires and ensure you are comfortable with the tire change.

A lot of the time you might find discounts when purchasing four tires at the same time. Tires are costly and can be a huge investment but proper care and maintenance can ensure they last a long time.
